Eleventh Grade Services
Eleventh grade is the pre-launch year… time to get all of the ducks in a row and put forth the very best effort.
As an 11th grader, a student is established in high school, confident in navigating school, but often the looming college process creeps in. Beginning to work with CCEC in the 11th grade allows us to build off of the 9th and 10th grade foundation and create intentional action steps to maximize this pivotal year prior to submitting applications.
The 11th grade offers one last year to impact the GPA, grow in rigor and explore school/community activities. It is often the most academically challenging and stressful year of high school.
By beginning our relationship at the start of the 11th grade year, we can address ALL of the metrics listed above and can give our clients a competitive advantage in the application process.

Services – 11th grade
- Complete assessment of student’s strengths, personality types and areas of interest (review changes, if previously completed)
- Review transcript (grades and rigor), testing and extracurricular activities
- Guide student with class selection based on performance in 9th and 10th grade classes
- Review list of college visits already taken
- Evaluate achievement in classes as entering second semester
- Review testing needs and create plan for registration and dates to take
- Discuss extracurricular opportunities, evaluate interest, plan intentional involvement
- Explore college search options and visits (Fall, Winter)
- Narrow college list to make application; identifying institutions that are Reach, Target and Likely based on student’s profile and interest (Spring)
- Plan summer activities: volunteering, downtime, reading, college visits
- Utilize College Planner Pro as the Student Portal – review awards, activities, and achievements; assuring documentation for use in college list search
- Assist in creating a student resume highlighting activities, awards and involvement.
- Discuss teacher recommendations and prepare to request
- *Students and parents will receive frequent reminders of upcoming deadlines, help with essays, keeping up with all details.
